About Us

At the pleasure of the Gloucester County Freeholder Board, the Gloucester County Youth Services Commission serves as the comprehensive planning entity for local youth, as part of New Jersey’s Juvenile Reform Bills first signed into law in December of 1995. Youth Service Commissions were established by law to plan and implement strategies, and to advocate the reduction of juvenile delinquency and improve the juvenile justice system with in our County. Youth Services Commissions are also designated to make recommendations, to the Gloucester County Freeholder Board, for the distribution of State/ Community Partnership/ Family Court Grant and Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative funding.
